Olympic Park to receive 15 million upgrade

first_imgThe Andrews Government has promised to upgrade the Olympic Park in Ivanhoe upon their re-election, investing a further $1.5 million.The funds will be used in order to install new sports fields and lighting, upgrade playgrounds, shared paths and fitness circuits, improve the lighting in the park and CCTV for greater accessibility and better parking.The investment will greatly benefit the football club, Heidelberg United, but also other smaller athletic organisations in the area and the local community.Victorian Minister of Sport John Eren. With this investment, we’ll make Heidelberg’s sporting clubs -and local community- stronger than ever. Whether it’s hospitals, schools, upgraded roads or new sporting facilities, only Labor can be trusted to deliver for local families.“We’ve already delivered $2 million towards this project, but there’s more to do. That’s why I’m proud to make sure Olympic Park has the best facilities.
